Community Engagement

We see community outreach as an integral part of being a family medicine physician. Our program serves a population with significant health disparities and are always looking for ways to engage with our local area to combat these disparities. Here are just some of the programs we partner with:

Our resident physicians and faculty partner work with teen mothers and young women along with the PACE Center and LAMP , providing educational programming.

We work with local high schools to provide required sports physicals, including travelling to Immokalee, a historically unserved migrant-worker population.

Residents, faculty and our nursing staff join alongside community members at Utopia Unisex Salon to get to know our community's health needs, check blood pressure, and offer supportive services at barbershop wellness .
