An integrated team of physicians, clinical geneticists, genetic counselors and other healthcare professionals offering general and specialized care to children and families.
Beyond the critical role of addressing medical needs, the Pediatric Health Center will be a hub of trust and support within the community.
The College of Medicine’s network of primary care physicians spread across the State of Florida will serve as a vital link between the Pediatric Health Center and the broader healthcare system, ensuring seamless coordination of care for children, and create cohesion and collaboration across Florida’s underserved communities.
The Pediatric Health Center will serve as a hub for patient recruitment into research studies focused on rare genetic variants of common disorders as well as rare pediatric diseases. Patient recruitment is the engine that drives precision medicine.
The Center is expected to begin operations by July, 2025.
