Founding faculty member of the  FSU College of Medicine School of Physician Assistant Practice. I currently hold the adacemic title of Assocaite Professor / Principle Faculty in the school of physician assistant practice. I deliver lectures to tthe students on topics that range from radiographic anatomy, gastrointestnal diseases, emergency medicine and clinical proceudures. I serve on the following committees: Promotion and Tenure, Student Progress Committe, and the  Curriculum Committee. I serve as an advisor to 1st and 2nd year PA students 

Served in the United States Navy from October 1980 to October 2005 where I retired as a Lieutenant in the Medical Service Corp. Served 15 years as a US Navy Hospital Corpsman where I attained the rank of Chief Hosptial Corpsman. I was selected for the US Navy Physician Assistant Program in San Diego California in May of 1993, graduating with the rand of Ensign in the US Navy Medical Service Corp in August 1995. Served as a US Navy Physician Asstant from August 1995 to October 2005. Retired with 25 yeas of continuous active duty service. 

My backgound and experience as a physician assistant is primarily in emergency medicine and disaster medicine. I have worked in a variey of emergency departments from small critical access hosptials to large level I & II trauma centers. I continue to practice in emergency medicine. I have served as a physician assistant on two federal disaster response teams (DMAT) and Massachusettes Task Force I Urban Search and Rescue team.
