Waters Xevo TQ-S UPLC-nESI-Triple Quadrupole is a tandem mass spectrometer that can be used to validate potential biomarkers. The TQ-S can be connected to The Waters Atmospheric Pressure GC/MS with Agilent 7693 Autosampler to analyze volatile and semi-volatile compounds or to the Waters NanoAcquity Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatograph, which uses low flow rates (nL/min) and high pressures (5000-6000 psi) to separate small quantities of proteins.

Qubit: Researcher Operated

Thermo Scientific Qubit 2.0 is a benchtop fluorometer for quantitation of DNA (dsDNA & ssDNA), RNA and protein. Target-specific fluorescent dyes are used to minimize quantitation of contaminating molecules. This system is more accurate for samples with low quantity particularly for sequencing on the HiSeq 2500. 

NanoVue: Researcher Operated

GE Healthcare NanoVue is a UV/Vis spectrophotometer that measures nucleic acids and proteins with sample volumes as low as 0.5 microliters. Measures: DNA, RNA, Oligonucleotides, Tm Calculation, Cy Dye DNA probe labeling, Protein UV & A280, BCA, Bradford, Lowry, & Biuret.
