What is the Florida ExpertNet?
Florida ExpertNet is a free searchable database of faculty research profiles and resources spanning all disciplines at 12 universities. Florida ExpertNet is produced and made available through the Clearinghouse for Applied Research. With one quick search users can identify relevant:

Who has profiles in ExpertNet?
Faculty with funded research in the last 5 years. For FSU, this means faculty with funded research in RAMP, as RAMP is one of the sources of FSU ExpertNet data. Faculty who are new to FSU who do not yet have active projects in RAMP won't appear in ExpertNet.
How do I update my ExpertNet profile?
Researchers use the MyExpertNet backend to update their content. Because COM's ExpertNet instance is highly visible under the research tab at https://med.fsu.edu/ and also appears in multiple other locations across the COM website, we encourage you to update your profile with a profile picture and make sure your research terms are accurate. ExpertNet staff initially assign research terms based on department/college, which makes them, at best, too broad. You may also update your profile with links to your laboratory websites and / or social meda, among other information. In addition to prospective students, postdocs, and faculty members, we expect members of the press to find and utilize COM's ExpertNet instance to identify experts to interview.
How do I add research terms?
ExpertNet uses a controlled research taxonomy to index tag content. Please submit your suggested additions to the taxonomy by using the Help and Technical Assistance form . You may also add terms to the keyword field.
How is the publications tab populated?
The default source of publications is OpenAlex . OpenAlex data sources include MAG , Crossref , ORCID , ROR , DOAJ , Unpaywall , Pubmed , Pubmed Central , and The ISSN International Centre . You may also choose to populate your publications data manually.
How is the network tab populated?
The network tab is populated with your grant collaborators as listed in RAMP for the last 5 years as well as any co-authors who are also in ExpertNet: essentially, any co-author in the State University System of Florida. Data transfer between FSU and ExpertNet occurs monthly. The source of publication data is OpenAlex .
