Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to provide comprehensive training in all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology while fostering progressive responsibility and independence. Residents gain experience in the full spectrum of women’s health, from primary care and preventive medicine to complex surgical management and high-risk obstetrics.

Clinical Training

  • Obstetrics:Normal and high-risk pregnancy management, antepartum and postpartum care and exposure to maternal-fetal medicine
  • Gynecology:Care for benign conditions, advanced gynecologic surgery, minimally invasive and robotic procedures
  • Subspecialties: Rotations in gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and female pelvic medicine/urogynecology
  • Ambulatory Women’s Health:Continuity clinics where residents follow their own panel of patients
  • Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology:Dedicated experiences caring for younger patients in collaboration with pediatric subspecialists
  • Critical Care:Exposure to ICU, emergency care, and acute management of critically ill obstetric and gynecologic patients
  • Family Planning:Training in contraception, reproductive decision-making, and procedures in line with ACGME and ABOG guidelines

Didactics and Simulation

  • Weekly didactic sessions covering core topics in OB-GYN and related specialties
  • Simulation-based training in obstetric emergencies, surgical skills, and minimally invasive procedures
  • Regular journal clubs, morbidity and mortality conferences,and interdisciplinary case reviews
