What do you like about HMSS?

HMSS has given me an immediate family that I can rely on here at FSU. I have met so many wonderful, kind, and intelligent people within this organization; it feels like I will be supported not only as a medical scholar, but also as a close friend. I know that through this program I will keep being exposed to amazing people and opportunities in healthcare, and I look forward to all that is to come.

Why do you want to go into medicine?

I’ve considered a lot of careers, but the one that always draws me back is medicine. My main goals whenever I interact with the world are being kind and finding the truth. I believe that no other career balances these aspects of compassion and logic like medicine does. Working in healthcare feels like the perfect way to uphold my values and make a difference in someone’s life when they really need it.
