Curriculum & Experience

Medical student rotations are predominantly outpatient and will consist of time spent in the residency clinic, Point Washington Medical Clinic (free clinic), conducting home visits with faculty and residents, and didactics. Students may choose to spend some brief time with the inpatient adult medicine team at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast.

Requirements

We offer 2- or 4-week elective or sub-internship/acting internship rotations to 4th year medical students from May through December. We prioritize students who communicate a commitment to apply to our residency program during the current application cycle. Students must be in good standing at a US accredited medical school. We do not offer observerships or externships for non-US students/graduates. The rotation is contingent upon the successful execution of an affiliation agreement between the student’s medical school and the Florida Department of Health in Walton County.

Application

Contact the Program Director at joshua.hodge@med.fsu.edu , or Program Coordinator (contact information below) if interested in rotating with us.
