Curriculum & Experience

Rotations are predominantly outpatient and students will be assigned to see patients at both the Family Medicine Residency clinic and at the faculty’s clinic site with Ascension Medical Group in Destin, FL.  Students will have the opportunity to spend some brief time with the inpatient adult medicine team at ASHEC.

Requirements

We offer a limited number of two- or four-week rotations to 4th year medical students who communicate a commitment to apply to our residency program and agree to interview before the end of the rotation.  Students must be in good standing at a US accredited medical school. We do not offer observerships or externships for non-US students/graduates. The rotation is contingent upon executing affiliation agreements between a student’s medical school and Ascension Sacred Heart and the Florida Department of Health.
