Vineyard Family Foundation Visits IPRD
We recently had the privilege of welcoming members of the Vineyard family to the Florida Institute for Pediatric Rare Diseases (IPRD). The Vineyard Family Foundation reflects three generations of community involvement across five states and a longstanding commitment to advancing the health, education, and well-being of children and families.
IPRD Director Pradeep Bhide and FSU College of Medicine Dean Alma Littles hosted Lynn Vineyard Miller, Philip W. Vineyard II, Bruce P. Vineyard Jr., and members of their families.
“IPRD is proud and grateful to be among the organizations supported by the Vineyard Family Foundation,” Dr. Bhide said. “We look forward to translating this generous support into programs that provide much-needed care to children and families navigating pediatric rare diseases, while advancing innovative approaches to their diagnosis and treatment.”
The Vineyard family toured the College of Medicine’s educational and research facilities. A highlight of the visit was a tour of the IPRD Diagnostic Laboratory, where the Laboratory’s Scientific Director Cynthia Vied shared insights into IPRD’s collaboration with Quest Diagnostics to improve access to genomic testing and diagnosis for children and their families.
We are deeply grateful to the Vineyard family for their generosity, their interest in our work, and their commitment to improving the lives of children and families across Florida and beyond.
