Latino Medical Student Association

The Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) unites and empowers medical students through service, mentorship and education to advocate for the health of the Latino community. This is achieved by promoting educational programs, addressing the health care needs of this community, and encouraging Latino college students to pursue careers in medicine and health care services that address the heath care needs of members of the Latino community.

Here at the Florida State University College of Medicine, we have several events throughout the year, including Salsa nights, mentoring programs for pre-med students, and an annual Migrant Fair in Quincy, FL where LMSA members offer blood pressure readings, dental hygiene tips, and sunscreen education.
