Favorite Part of HMSS? 

My favorite part of HMSS is the community and friendships I gain with like-minded peers. I love having an amazing support system for this competitive field. Plus, I love how I connect with many others in HMSS that go beyond the drive of becoming a physician. 

Why Medicine? 

I want to go to medicine since it combines my strengths and interests into one field. I love engaging in service and acting as a leader for my community. I also enjoy furthering my education into the field of science to learn as much as I can, life-long. Additionally, I love meeting new people, especially from diverse backgrounds so I can develop my own socio-cultural awareness. Watching my mother work as a psychiatrist opened my eyes to helping the community as a physician while still fulfilling my personal goals and using my personal strengths.
