HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
In observance of World AIDS Day and the beginning of AIDS Awareness Month in December, the FSU College of Medicine’s Student National Medical Association is hosting the fourth annual HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on Nov. 29. The student organization will host free mobile STD testing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the FSU College of Medicine parking lot. Community, undergraduate and College of Medicine organizations will be tabling from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the atrium with information about HIV/AIDS, disease management, and how it affects specific populations.
Later in the evening, beginning at 5:45 p.m., a candlelight vigil will be held at the eternal flame on the campus of Florida A&M University to commemorate the plight of those fighting HIV/AIDS.
